THE BARONE' BROTHERS DAN COLEMAN (LEAD VOICE - BASS) JOAD COLEMAN (DRUMS - OTHER VOICE) ********************************************************************************************* After the break-up of Again & Again & Again brothers, Dan and Joad started rehearsing together in N.Y.C. while searching for a guitar player for a new band. After a few rehearsals the brothers decided they liked the music they were making with just the two of them. This was the nineteen-eighties and no one was doing anything like what they were. There was no "White Stripes". They had a sound all their own. Soon after, Dan Ross joined them on guitar and they became the band "DJD Chant" The Barone' Brothers never performed live. But their sound is still original. Here we have them playing their songs, jamming and experimenting. FYI: Their father was adopted Barone' was his birth last name. ************************************************************************************************************ Joad Coleman: Drum's, Percussion, Bass, Guitar, Recorder, Vocal's Dan Coleman: Bass, Guitar, Percussion, Recorder, Key's, Vocal's ************************************************************************************************************* For The Chippa Wah Sessions, Dan and Joad a name to call themselves for the music that they were creating. The answer came from their father finding out his true last name. He was adopted and had found out his real last name was Barone'. So as time would go by, Dan and Joad decided to call themselves "The Barone' Brothers". These recordings for the most part are live, overdubbed on a Sony, two track, sound on sound, reel-to-reel tape deck. The Barone' Brothers would come up with a basic idea and record whatever happened. The results are both original and imaginative. There's even a cover song or two. Both Barone' Brother's are playing multiple instruments. Just a footnote... Also in the 1980's Dan and Joad performed music live, off Broadway, upstairs at The Westside Arts Theater in Manhattan, in the Sam Sheppard and Patti Smith play "Cowboy Mouth". Just downstairs and just getting started were "Pen and Teller". **********************************************************************
